Add Apps to Your Workspace

Overview

App monitoring helps you with mobile app promotion. You always know how your users react to your app, how they rate it, and what your competitors are doing. 

In AppFollow, you can add and track both your own apps and the apps of your competitors. Read on to learn how to add apps by their name or URL.

When you add an app, you can monitor:

  • App metadata and history
  • Versions history
  • Average rating
  • Stars history
  • Reviews
  • Developers replies
  • Reply to reviews
  • Reviews history
  • Likes/dislikes
  • Keywords positions and history
  • Rankings history
  • Featured apps/games
  • Sales metrics
  • ASO metrics

Supported Stores

It is possible to add apps from the following stores:

  • App Store (regular apps)
  • App Store (Apple Arcade apps)
  • Google Play
  • Microsoft Store
  • Mac App Store
  • Samsung Galaxy Store

If you have an Apple Arcade app, you can add the app through a direct link. Learn more in the next parts of this article: Add an App by URL.
Please note that apps from Galaxy Store must be added using the URL and not the app name.

Add an App by Name

  1. Select the Workspace where you want to add a new app from the top navigation panel in AppFollow.
  2. Click Add New in the left-hand navigation panel.
  3. Select the store where you want to search for the app, or remain in the "All stores" tab to see the search results for all stores at once.
  4. Type the name of your app in the search box.
  5. Click "Search".
  6. Browse through the results and click "Track" next to the app you want to start tracking.
If you need to track the same app in several Workspaces, you need to add them separately to each Workspace.

Add an App by URL

If you couldn't find an app when searching for its name, you can add it using its URL.

  1. Find the app in the app store and copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
  2. In AppFollow, click the blue ➕ icon next to "My apps" on the upper left.
  3. Paste the URL into the search bar and click "Search". 
  4. Click "Track" next to the app you want to start tracking.

Apple TV Apps

To add an Apple TV app, you need to type "appletv: [name of the app]" in the search field:

Amazon Products

You can add any item or product from Amazon to monitor its ratings, reviews, and sales.

To start tracking an Amazon product in AppFollow:

  1. In Amazon, find the item you want to add and copy its URL
  2. In AppFollow, select the Workspace where you want to add a new app from the top navigation panel in AppFollow.
  3. Click "Add New" in the left-hand navigation panel.
  4. Open the "Amazon" tab.
  5. Paste the product's URL into the search bar and click "Search". 
  6. Click "Track" next to the app you want to start tracking.

I Can't Find My App

Sometimes you can't find an app by typing its name. Here are some tips to keep in mind.

  1. The app you’re looking for has not been launched yet.
  2. The app is limited to certain countries or regions. Select a different country if the app is not available in the current country.   
  3. AppFollow has its own search algorithms. It means the sequence of search results will not always match what you see on your iPhone, Android, or Windows device.
  4. Copy and paste the app's URL into the search field if you're certain that the app should be available.
