Overview

AppFollow supports Microsoft Store and Xbox as data sources, enabling you to monitor and analyze user feedback from these platforms. While some features are currently limited—such as replying to reviews—there are still valuable tools available to help you track sentiment, tag reviews, and gather actionable insights.

This article outlines what’s currently supported when connecting your Microsoft Store or Xbox app to AppFollow.

Available Features

  • Export reviews to CSV or XLS for further analysis
  • Apply bulk actions such as:
    • Generate AI replies (for internal use or external reply preparation)
    • Assign tags to multiple reviews
  • Enable automatic review translation
  • Benefit from semantic tags (automatically applied based on AI analysis)
  • Sort reviews by date, rating, etc.

Rating Analysis

Track how your app is performing publicly in the store over time:

  • Tags Analysis: Understand how specific review topics impact user sentiment.
  • Templates Page: Create and manage reply templates (for internal use or support prep).
  • Automation Hub: While automation is limited due to the lack of reply functionality, auto-tagging and routing workflows can still be used.

Integrations

You can use Microsoft Store and Xbox data with the following integrations:

  • Help Desk Integrations: Email alerts & Webhooks
  • API Access: Retrieve review and rating data via our Reviews and Rating endpoints

Current Limitations

  1. Replying to reviews is not supported by Microsoft Store or Xbox at this time. More information here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/monetize/submit-responses-to-app-reviews.
  2. Some automation features (such as auto-replies or resolution tracking) are not available.

We’re continuously monitoring platform updates and will expand our feature set if and when additional functionality becomes available from Microsoft.

Use Cases

Even with reply limitations, many AppFollow customers find value in:

  • Tracking user sentiment over time
  • Identifying key feature requests or issues
  • Tagging and categorizing feedback for product or support teams
  • Exporting data for reporting or BI dashboards
  • Notifying internal teams via integrations (e.g., email, webhook)
