A monthly ASO report usually means exporting data from several places and pasting it into a deck or a doc. It also tends to look a little different every month, which makes it hard to compare. Your AI assistant can build the whole report in one request, in the same structure every time. In this article, you'll learn what the report includes, how to ask for it, and how to keep it consistent from month to month.

Overview

When you ask for your monthly ASO report, your assistant brings together:

  • A summary at the top stating what changed and what to do next month
  • Keyword gains and losses, each with its Popularity score, so the movements that matter most come first
  • Category rank trend for the period
  • Ratings trend with the star mix, the share of 1 to 5-star ratings
  • Review themes: what users talked about most during the month

If your account has an ASO Report integration connected, the report also shows how installs split between store search and browse. This is a read-only request. Nothing in your account changes.

Keeping it consistent

The report uses the same structure every month, so month two is directly comparable to month one. To keep it that way, ask for it the same way each time, in the same conversation if your AI assistant supports it, or by saving the prompt you use.

How to ask

Once AppFollow MCP is connected to your AI assistant, you can ask in plain language. For example:

Build the monthly ASO report: keyword movements, category rank, ratings and what reviews say.

More things to ask

  • "Same report for the last 7 days, only what changed."
  • "Which keyword movements this month were on the highest-popularity terms?"
  • "Which of our tracked keywords crossed into the top 10 this month, and which fell out?"
  • "Turn this into a five-bullet exec summary."

F.A.Q.

Why do keyword movements come with a Popularity score?

A drop of five places on a keyword nobody searches matters less than a drop of two on your most popular term. The Popularity score shows which movements are worth your attention.

Why isn't the install split showing?

It needs an ASO Report integration for your app. Without one, the rest of the report still works. See Export an ASO Report for more about ASO reports in AppFollow.

Can I get the report for several apps?

Yes. Name the apps or a workspace. For a large group, ask for one report per app so each stays readable.
