How to Rewrite Your App Store Metadata with AppFollow MCP

Your title and subtitle are the most valuable space on your store listing, and they're short. Every word should earn its place. Your AI assistant can rewrite them using the keywords you already track that have the most potential, and show you which strong keywords your current metadata isn't using yet. In this article, you'll learn what this request returns, how to ask for it, and what to check before you update your listing.

Overview

Paste your current title and subtitle into the conversation, and your assistant returns:

  • Two or three options per field, each with a character count so it stays within the store's limits
  • Options built from your tracked keywords with an Effectiveness score above 20, the level where a keyword is worth a spot in your title or subtitle
  • No repeated words across fields, so you don't spend characters on the same word twice
  • A comparison with what you pasted, showing which high-effectiveness keywords you're not using yet
  • The reasoning behind every pick, so you can push back on it

This is a read-only request. The assistant suggests text, but it doesn't change your store listing. You paste the option you choose into App Store Connect or Google Play Console as usual.

How to ask

Once AppFollow MCP is connected to your AI assistant, you can ask in plain language. For example:

Here's our current title and subtitle. Rewrite them using terms we can actually rank for, and keep it inside the character limits.

More things to ask

  • "Here's our title and subtitle. Which of our tracked keywords have effectiveness over 20 but appear nowhere in them?"
  • "Our subtitle is 30 characters. Give me 3 alternatives that add 'meal planner' without dropping 'recipes'."
  • "Draft a Google Play short description around our top 5 keywords by popularity."
  • "We're launching in Germany. Build a German keyword field from DE autocomplete around our five core terms."

Reading the results

Item What it means
Option A suggested title or subtitle, with its character count
Keywords used The tracked keywords each option includes, with their Effectiveness scores
Unused keywords High-effectiveness keywords that don't appear in the metadata you pasted
Reasoning Why each keyword was picked or left out

F.A.Q.

Why didn't the assistant use some of my keywords?

It only builds options from keywords with an Effectiveness score above 20. Keywords below that level aren't worth the space in your title or subtitle, but they may still belong in your keyword field.

What if I don't see Effectiveness scores?

Effectiveness scores are available on some AppFollow plans. Without them, the assistant can still suggest options based on Popularity and your current rankings, but they'll be less precise.

Why do I need to paste my current metadata?

Pasting it gives the assistant the exact text you're working with, including your keyword field, which isn't visible on the store. That's what makes the comparison accurate.
