Overview
The Review Anomaly monitoring agent watches your incoming reviews for unusual spikes in feedback topics, so you don't have to monitor them manually.
It analyzes review activity in the background and detects when a specific topic—such as crashes, login issues, or payments—suddenly increases beyond its normal pattern. When this happens, AppFollow sends a notification with a summary of the issue and a link to review the related feedback in more detail.
This helps your team identify potential problems early and take action before isolated issues become larger trends.
This feature is currently in beta testing and available by invitation only.
Add the Agent
- Go to Integrations > Monitoring agents.
- In Featured agents, select Review Anomaly.
- Choose the app you want to monitor.
- Select your delivery method: Slack or Email.
- Click Save to start monitoring your app.
There are no filters or conditions to configure—once enabled, AppFollow automatically detects anomalies for you.
If you’re using Slack, make sure the AppFollow Slack bot is installed in the selected channel. Otherwise, notifications will not be delivered.
Delivery Timing
Review Anomaly notifications are not real-time, as they depend on when app stores moderate, publish and update reviews:
- Google Play: ~24-hour delay
- App Store: ~48–72-hour delay
You’ll receive notifications shortly after enough data is available to detect a meaningful spike.
