The Telegram Reply Bot from AppFollow helps you respond to user reviews right from your Telegram app. You can receive all app reviews and manage them without leaving your Telegram chat.


Set up a Chat With the Reply Bot

1. In Telegram, search for @appfollow_reply_bot and start a chat:

2. Send  /start to get the Chat ID:

The Chat ID may start with the symbol "-" which is part of the ID and should be copied. For example, if you have the following Chat ID: -123456789 you need to copy all of the symbols.

3.  Copy the digits and go to the Integration List page in your AppFollow account. 

4. Select an app and click "+Add integration" next to Telegram Reviews.

5. Paste the Telegram Chat ID.

6. Configure the integration options, languages, and stars.

Integration options:

  • Only Featured – receive alerts only about featured reviews
  • Became better – receive alerts about reviews that were updated to a higher rating (for example, from 3 to 5 stars)
  • Became worse – receive alerts about reviews that were updated to a lower rating (for example, from 5 to 3 stars)
  • Import History – receive reviews for the previous month

Select languages:

  • Select languages from the drop-down menu to receive notifications only about reviews in certain languages
  • Select "All languages" to receive reviews in any language

Select stars:

  • Select star ratings to receive notifications about reviews with specific ratings

7. Click "Add integration".

To test whether the integration was set up correctly and that notifications are sent to the correct chat, click the gear icon next to the integration and select "Send Test Notification". You will receive a test notification in your Telegram chat. Please note that test notifications don't have a reply button.

To be able to send replies to app reviews, set up integrations with App Store Connect and the Google Play Console first.

Invite the Reply Bot to an Existing Chat

You can add the @appfollow_reply_bot to your work and group chats. This way your team members (developers, marketers, customer support) will all be able to reply from the same chat.

To do this, add the bot to the chat you need:

1. Choose a chat.

2. Open the chat settings -> Edit -> Administrators (you should have admin rights to do this).

3. Add @appfollow_reply_bot to Administrators.

4. Click "Start" (or type /start) to get the chat ID:

5. Copy the digits and go to the Integration List page in your AppFollow account. 

6. Select an app and click "+Add integration" next to Telegram Reviews.

7. Paste the Telegram Chat ID.

8. Configure the integration options, languages, and stars.

9. Click "Add integration".


Use the Reply Bot

As soon as you've set up the bot, you will start getting new and updated app reviews. The message contains 4 buttons:

The following actions are available:

  • Permalink – open a review in a separate tab
  • Translate – check the review's translation via Google translate
  • Add tag – open your AppFollow account page to manage tags
  • Reply – post a response for apps that have an active Replies to Reviews integration.
The "Reply" button is available only when Reply to Reviews integration has been set up for the app in the Workspace. To be able to send responses to app reviews, set up integrations with App Store Connect and the Google Play Console first.

Send Replies

1. Find the review to which you need to respond.

2. Click the "Reply" button.

3. Type your reply and click "Send".

4. Your response will be sent to the app store. After moderation, it will be published.

Type  /cancel to cancel your reply publication. You can edit it and send it later.
